Tom Greenwood, Principal

Tom is an experienced business lawyer who has served in a number of senior in-house legal roles, most recently leading the commercial legal work at Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI) and The Neiman Marcus Group (NMG). His approach is practical and effective.

Tom’s practice includes drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, and providing advice and counsel – including in the following areas: marketing/brand, operations, digital/website, merchandising, technology, private brands, communications, sourcing/procurement (including vendor and service agreements of all types), experiences/events, circular commerce, ESG, intellectual property (trademark/copyright), and licensing. 

With his significant in-house experience, Tom can seamlessly step in to fill in-house counsel gaps or needs on a temporary/interim basis.

Tom began his legal career in AmLaw 100 firms (including Baker Botts and what is now Troutman Pepper Locke).  

Tom received his J.D. from Harvard and his B.S. in Economics from Texas A&M University. Tom is licensed to practice in Texas and Washington D.C. (inactive).
